Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Riangle processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you.

Last updated

Riangle operates this website and its restricted studio tools. This policy applies when you browse riangle.com, create or use an account, contact us about a project, or interact with content embedded on the site.

1. Who we are

Riangle is a design studio. Our postal contact is Gjokaj Street 2, 81206 Tuzi, Montenegro. You can also reach us through our contact page.

2. Information we process

We process information in the following circumstances:

  • When you browse: the page URL and path, hostname, referring page, browser and device information, session and device identifiers, interaction events, and technical error details. A URL can include query parameters, so avoid putting sensitive information in a URL.
  • When you create or use an account: Clerk processes your name, email address, password, verification details, security checks, and session information. We store your Clerk user identifier, name, email address, profile image, account creation time, and access role in Convex. When you are signed in, we may also associate your account identifier, email, name, role, and sign-up time with your PostHog analytics profile. We do not receive your password in readable form.
  • When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, optional company, selected service, budget range, project message, submission time, and our response status. We also record an analytics event containing the selected service, budget range, and whether a company was supplied, but not your message, name, or email address.
  • When you play embedded media: YouTube or Vimeo may receive request, device, and usage information after you choose to load their player.

3. How we use information

We use this information to:

  • provide, secure, and administer accounts and studio tools;
  • receive, evaluate, respond to, and keep a record of enquiries;
  • send enquiry confirmations and studio notifications;
  • understand site use and improve performance and content;
  • detect, investigate, and resolve errors, abuse, and security issues;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.

Depending on the context and the law that applies, we rely on steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and improving the site, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is required. We do not use enquiry details to subscribe you to a newsletter.

4. Cookies and local storage

The site uses first-party storage for these purposes:

  • rgl_anon_id identifies an anonymous browser for analytics for up to one year.
  • rgl_anon_merged prevents repeated anonymous-to-account analytics merges for up to one year.
  • rgl_sid maintains an analytics session for up to 24 hours.
  • PostHog storage maintains analytics device and session identifiers.
  • Clerk storage keeps you signed in and protects authentication flows.
  • theme remembers light or dark appearance for up to one year.
  • riangle_gate, when the pre-launch gate is enabled, remembers access for up to 30 days.
  • riangle:work-view in local storage remembers your grid or ledger preference until you clear it.

You can clear or block browser storage through your browser settings, although authentication and preferences may stop working. Some pageview and reliability analytics operate on the server, so blocking browser cookies may not prevent all event collection.

5. Service providers and sharing

We disclose information only as needed to operate the site:

  • Clerk provides authentication and account security;
  • Convex provides the database, application backend, and file storage;
  • PostHog provides product analytics and error reporting;
  • Resend receives the relevant contact and enquiry details to deliver confirmations and studio notifications;
  • YouTube and Vimeo provide videos that load after you press play.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or our rights, or as part of a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

6. International processing

Riangle operates internationally, and our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use the safeguards made available by those providers and applicable data-protection law.

7. Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including maintaining an account, handling an enquiry, securing the service, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention varies by record and provider. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it, subject to backups and records we must retain. Closing an account may initially mark its Riangle account record as deleted rather than immediately erasing every associated record. You can ask us to review remaining personal information as described below.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a data-protection authority. Use our contact page to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. No online service or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or communicated by another appropriate method.

11. Contact

Questions and privacy requests can be sent through our contact page or by post to Riangle, Gjokaj Street 2, 81206 Tuzi, Montenegro.
